You’ve got to ask yourself one question: ‘Do I feel lucky?’ Well, do ya, punk?

So I’ve been a member of Jewelmint for a while now and although I’m not an avid fan I decided to purchase their “Winter Mystery Box” which contained 4 Jewelmint pieces for $29.99.  I recently got it in the mail and decided to write a review and show what goodies I received.  For those of you who are not familiar with Jewelmint here’s how it works:

After first browsing to JewelMint, you’ll be asked to complete a quiz that establishes your ‘style profile’. Then you’ll be asked to enter your credit card information (you aren’t actually charged until your first purchase) and are shown a handful of pieces of jewelry. Purchase one, and you’ll be signed up for the program — once a month you’ll be charged $29.99, and you’ll receive a ‘Credit’ that can be used to buy one piece of jewelry on the site. The catch is that you’ll only be able to see a handful of pieces that are suggested based on your tastes — you can’t go browsing the entire catalog as you would on Amazon. If you don’t see anything you like one month, you can skip it and wait til the next month (you aren’t charged the $29.99 fee if you decide to skip a month).” http://techcrunch.com/2010/10/04/beachmint-teams-with-kate-bosworth-to-launch-first-vertical-jewelmint/

So before this purchase, I had only owned two pieces and skipped basically every month til this December.  I got an email from Jewelmint advertising their “Winter Mystery Box” and purchased it right away, hoping to gift most pieces as presents for others.  So without further adieu here are the four pieces I received:

My favorite piece from my box. Really stunning up close.

Very bohemian. (Not my style, but I do have a friend that will love this)

Surprisingly cute and charming.

The most disappointing piece. It’s cute but it feels cheap and childish.

Overall I am quite happy with the pieces I received.  I don’t know if I would buy it again as I feel as though Jewelmint’s quality has gone down, however; that being said, all these pieces make excellent Christmas gifts.

Have you ever tried Jewelmint, if so what are your favorite pieces?
