I’m going to keep this post short and sweet. If you’ve been here before, you know my goal for 2013 was to pretty much stop buying makeup. Although I wasn’t entirely successful in that endeavor, I did learn some valuable life lessons.
Through those lessons, I have started to embrace a new lifestyle. I’ve started shifting from a material/consumer driven lifestyle to becoming more of a Minimalist. This lifestyle isn’t for everyone, but I think it suits my needs as an individual. Although I still have ways to go, I have found that my new perspective and attitude has made me embrace life more and I feel more fulfilled.
This year, I’m going to be blogging about my experience. I have found that Minimalism is more of a transformative process than a state of being and if you’re interested in this lifestyle, please follow my journey and challenges I face along the way!

So I know it’s been months and months since I’ve posted. Life has been crazy. I would be lying to you if I said the experiment was a success. However, I can say candidly that it was not a failure at all. I really did cut down on my makeup buying habits and rarely buy makeup now unless I absolutely don’t have an alternative.
I think I stuck to my resolution pretty well and have found that I like who I am now more than before. I am not as beauty product obsessed and have really come to appreciate the makeup I already have.
I’m probably going to change up this blog to better fit what I’m doing now so stay tuned.
